We often talk about TV and movies so it seems like we should have a place for those discussions as well. So... what are you guys watching?

I'm TRYING to watch Vikings on Kodi. But honestly I rarely watch anything of substance. Last night we watched a show on Netflix called Weird World or something like that lol

I watch a lot of stuff on youtube, but other than the news I don't watch TV. Used to hear people say that when I was a kid and think they were strange lol

Lately I've been watching The 100 and The Orville. Both of which I'm really liking. The 100 is like a bunch of different sci-fi/apocalypse/tribal ideas rolled into one. The Orville is better Star Trek than Star Trek has been in a long time. I just recently finished up the last season of The Walking Dead and it had some really good moments. The season opener was just downright uncomfortable to watch because it really gave even the viewer a sense of powerlessness and hopelessness. The guy playing Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) really enjoyed playing that role and you can tell. I'm interested in starting up the newest X-Men show The Gifted but I need time to do that.

I wanna watch the Orville. Is it kid-friendly? Ill have to find it on Kodi though. Kid friendly enough for me anyway. There is a bit of language and occasional bits of lewd humor, dick jokes and the like. There is some stuff about the Captain's wife having an affair (as he catches her in bed with a blue alien in the pilot) which was the basis for their divorce and is a regular go to for jokes. There is a same sex marriage between two aliens from a mono-gender species. But that stuff is actually great. Those two guys are hilarious as they are an infusion of straight man humor (no sexual pun intended) and the typical male/female human relationship dynamic. The third episode was about a baby getting a transgender operation and whether or not that was ethical based on that species only having one gender but the real meat of that episode was about gender equality and how while women and men are different and have certain inherent advantages and disadvantages based on their birth sex no one can speak to an individuals potential as a baby, especially when it comes to intelligence. It's Seth McFarlane and Fox so you should have some idea of the humor. It sometimes leans a bit crude: stuff about drinking, sex, etc. but nothing too outlandish.

My son isn't all that interested but my daughter likes it and seems to draw some interesting conclusions from the moral dilemmas being posed. It's a good show for discussions later.
