Oh NOW you're interested. I mentioned this one a long time ago and if I recall correctly you poo pooed on it. Me? Now I'm confused. I don't recall that at all. I think you said some of the same things that concerned me initially. It's Will Smith number one. The sort of Suicide Squad vibe to some of it. And when they first revealed it there was a lot less detail about the story and what was going on.

Went and saw Blade Runner 2049 and enjoyed it. It looks fantastic, and the sound is interesting (they basically blast the audience with reverb). I liked the slow buildup and building tension. I enjoyed 80% of the story, but it stared to lose me towards the end (or whenever they referenced the original film).
Speaking of which, I have a complicated relationship with the original Blade Runner - I like the look, sound and design of everything and the film's world, but I get absolutely nothing out of those characters or the story. I like the ideas, but always found the execution of a lot of them clunky.

Cult ClassicsSharknado
I first watched Sharknado in 2013,expecting it to be another crappy movie about Sharks attacking people(I'm not referring to Jaws, but the other Jaws clones).Anyways,I enjoyed Sharknado, because it's cinematography is quite nice and relaxing(I like tropical atmospheres),and it's music is soothing, and it's characters are likable. Some of the characters I like include a big,fat guy who hangs around the bar at the beach all day,and when the storm threatened to blow the bar down,he said ''he needs to protect the bar,or he will have nowhere else to hang out during the day'' and when the sharks starting landing everywhere and flying through the air,he used his bar stool as a weapon... Another likable character is an 'Australian' character, with a fake Australian accent, but it's humorous nonetheless, and he uses a baseball bat as a weapon against the sharks. The main character Fin was involved in a bit of a love triangle himself, and the outrageous scenes of sharks flying through the air and smashing throw windows and seeing them jump out of the water and attack people in a flooded California was quite enjoyable to watch. I didn't like Sharknado 2,3,4 because they lacked the likable characters and the cinematography and music didn't give the same relaxing feel as the first Sharknado movie. Later,I will watch Sharknado 5.

About to take my kids to see this. Let's just say I have little to no expectations about it.

No it wasn't awful. I think the show is better tbh and I could have done without all the musical numbers and the needless use of celebrity voice work to promote it as a theatrical release but it was fine. A bit longer than it needed to be and basically an excuse to sell more toys but not bad.

It felt like a cash grab but, ironically, I haven't seen ANY toys depicting the villainous unicorn with the broken horn.

Insert "big whoop" here. Honestly are you surprised? What comic book character isn't being race/sex swapped these days and isn't automatically considered willing to be DTF anything with two legs whether it has bits that dangle or not?

Maybe they can swap some character for a giant, walking, anthropomorphic Vagina that hates men? I nominate Carnage. He meets the criteria: he has red hair so they MUST race swap (its state law) and he's male so a gender swap is normative. By taking that bold extra step and actually turning him INTO an anthropomorphic vagina we are making a stand against the patriachy.
