US fencer takes knee at Pan Am Games in protest If there is any integrity in the US Olympic committee this idiot will find himself stripped of his medals and barred from competing in future games. He agreed to the Pan American Games terms of eligibility, which indicates that players will refrain from political protest, and then promptly did it anyway. He was one of a three man team that placed gold in fencing. His teammates did not participate in his show of protest. If the Argentinian women’s basketball team was forced to forfeit because they wore the wrong jerseys (a complete mistake) then this idiot deserves far worse for his deliberate refusal to follow the rules of participation, to which he agreed. Besides, now he’s going to be known as the jackass that took a knee, a national embarrassment, rather than a member of the team that just won the gold medal.

"In 328 BC, Alexander the Great introduced into his court-etiquette some form of genuflection already in use in Persia. In the Byzantine Empire even senators were required to genuflect to the emperor. In medieval Europe, one demonstrated respect for a king or noble by going down on one knee, often remaining there until told to rise. It is traditionally often performed in western cultures by a man making a proposal of marriage. The custom of genuflecting, as a sign of respect and even of service, arose out of the honor given to medieval kings." KNOW YOUR PLACE, PEASANT!

Technically it's sports related. Babe's second verse... holy shit. He ROASTED Lance. EpicLlyod actually made Babe sound pissed and I can totally get that. I was a bit pissed myself when I found out what a giant hypocrite and a tool Lance Armstrong was for doping.

Um, wow. Just... whew. Check this out. You gotta watch the whole thing. Looks like he fucked his opponent. (For whatever reason I found myself thinking about Tidus and his goofy neighbors.)

Japan into the quarter finals of the Rugby World Cup. Now I have a team to cheer on. I don't want to cheer Australia because of painful memories living there. I don't mind the All Blacks (New Zealand) , because they set the highest standard , but now I have an underdog to support. Only problem is, Japan's next match is against a very good South African team. If they were to play Wales, Ireland, France I would predict them to win and be in the semi final.

I hate it! I wanna watch it soooo bad! I caught part of the Japan/Russia match but it got shut down for copyright mid-match. I would love to see the Welsh pull off a miracle, but I'll take Japan! They're the home team this year so it would be great if they make it. Like you, I'd take an All Blacks win though. =-)

The All Blacks vs England match is about to start. It sounds exciting because England have a lot of strike power in attack , and the All Blacks are the All Blacks.
South Africa vs Wales tomorrow will probably be a different affair, because Wales have numerous injuries to their star attacking players, hence they said they will try to use kicking tactics , and in other words, they will try to slow the game down and make it a grind. South Africa are 2 time world champions, and beat the All Blacks not long ago.
