Been a while since I did an NFL update.
2 more weeks remaining in the regular season. In the AFC, the Chiefs and Chargers are both 12-2 and both of them have the best records in the AFC,but both are in the same division so one of them has to get a wild card. A few weeks ago, Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt was released from the Chiefs after video emerged of him kicking a woman in the stomach earlier this year. As much as a bastard act it was, the Chiefs will miss his running game because it helped open up the passing game,, which was part of the reason Mahomes has been able to pick defenses apart with his passing game.
The Steelers eneded a 3 game losing streak and won a match against the Pats that they badly needed, because the Ravens are only a tie behind the Steelers now, and neither the Steelers or Ravens would be guaranteed a wild card, so maybe whoever wins the AFC North will be the only team from that division to make the play offs. Especialy since the Colts and Titans are only a tie behind the Steelers. The Dolphins are still in contention too.
The Pats and Texans look like the 2 teams likely to fight it out for the 2nd seed in the AFC( after the Chiefs or Chargers).
In the NFC, the Saints and Rams are still in the lead for the top 2 seeds in the NFC, but the Rams have lost 2 consecutive games to the Bears and Eagles, hence the Bears are only 1 win behind the Rams now. The Saints are 12-2, and hold a 1 win lead and tie breaker over the Rams in the race for top seed, but the Saints haven't looked so good lately, losing to Dallas not long ago, and they struggled a bit in their latest victory.
The Bears sealed up a playoff spot for the first time in something like 8 years. The Cowboys need to win just 1 more match to secure a playoff spot since they hold a tie breaker over the Eagles and Redskins, but the Cowboys have been far from convincing, losing by over 20 points to the Colts and being kept scoreless, and the Redskins were easily winning that division until Alex Smith got injured.
There's a bunch of teams fighting out for the 2 NFC wild card positions ,including the Seahawks( who were looking good until they lost to the 49ers in the last game), Vikings, Redskins and Eagles.

To be honest the Cowboys haven't been a consistently good team since like 1996. True. They had a few good years with Tony Romo, but much of the time they have too many deficiencies. This season, their defence is very good, they have a good running back and good offensive line, but their passing game is inconsistent. During the Tony Romo era, the Cowboys nearly always had a productive passing game, but they often had bad defenses and often had no running game. Kinda reminds me of how my favorite team, the Dolphins, had a great passing game for many years with Dan Marino, but during the Marino era the Dolphins only had a top 10 defence 3 times and often had no running game. Not long after Marino retired, the Dolphins put together a good defence and had a good running back in Ricky Williams for a number of seasons, but had no passing game. The Dolphons quarterback Tannehill led the Dolphins to the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade in 2016, but he missed all of last season and a number of games this season. The Pats are always good because they are well coached and have a well-run organisation. Brady gets a lot of credit, but he won all 5 of his super bowls with a top 5 defence, as well as having a well-balanced team.

NFL Play off teams 99% confirmed
In order of seedings:
AFC
Chiefs
Pats
Texans
Ravens
Chargers
6th seed will be the winner of the Colts vs Titans game, unless it's a tie, then Steelers go through'
NFC
Saints
Rams
Bears
Cowboys
Seahawks
Eagles
I'm not a Steelers fan, but I hope the Steelers fire Tomlin, not just for their sake, but for the sake of humanity. I don't like him playing the race card every time a white person says he should be fired.

On NFL network, a panel of 3 black guys and a woman were talking about the ''Rooney Rule'' , which is a team owner must interview a certain number of people from minority groups for coaching and management jobs. Anyways, surprise ,surprise, the 3 black guys and the white woman (why do I feel dirty saying that ) all spoke about how the Rooney Rule is great, and one of the black men said something like '' oh we need to have more of a mix '' (in other words, he's another insecure black person). In the past, the Dolphins spoke about how their next GM must be a woman, how about the best person for the job?

All they care about is expanding “diversity” by forcing race and gender hires.

In the NFL wildcards, the Cowboys beat the Seahawks. The Cowboys passing game looks a bit lackluster at times, but they have a good defense and they run the ball well.
The Chargers beat the Ravens. The Chargers have a high powered passing game with Rivers, and a solid all-round team, and I expected them to beat a Ravens team which has a running quarterback and relies heavily on it's defense.
The defending super bowl champion Eagles are still alive, and people like to focus on a kicker missing a field goal, but it's a team game and many Bears players made mistakes which contributed to the loss. The Eagles will be once again trying to win the super bowl with Foles, who has turned out to be a great big match quarterback.
The Colts beat the Texans, and the Colts have won something like 10 out of their past 11 games after starting the season 1-5.
As for the divisional round:-
The Chiefs will host the Colts. The Chiefs have the most explosive offense with likely MVP Mahomes, but their defense concedes a lot of points. They will play a Colts team which can score a lot of points with their Quarterback Andrew Luck, and the Colts have a better defense than the Chiefs. The Chiefs have won only 1 playoff game in the past 24 years , and a few years ago in the play offs, the Chiefs led the Colts 35-7 but still lost... I know it's a different Chiefs team now, but psychology comes into things... The Chiefs offense has averaged over 30 points per game, and if Mahomes plays to his potential and the Chiefs defense doesn't leak too many points, the Chiefs should win.
The Patriots will host the Chargers. The Patriots have Brady and Belichick. Rivers has been a great regular season quarterback for most of his career, but he gets outplayed in big games. However, Rivers has definitely played better than Brady this season.Brady had the luxury of playing in such a weak division and getting home field advantage, but Rivers and the Chargers are playing better at the moment. Brady has won 5 super bowls for a reason, but Rivers has been much better than Brady this season.
The Saints will host the Eagles. The Saints have one of the best offenses in the league, that can pass and run the ball well , and come up with explosive plays, as well as move the chains. The Saints defence has been getting better all year, and they are great at stopping the running game of other teams. The Eagles have been finding ways to win, but I think this week their time will be up. Despite how good Foles is, the Eagles running game has been lackluster without Ajayi , and their defense struggled for much of the year, but has gotten better recently. I think the Saints will just outclass them
The Rams will host the Cowboys. The Rams have an explosive offense, that can pass and run the ball well. The Rams defense is good at stopping the passing game of other teams. However, the Rams running back Gurley has been injured, but replacement CJ Anderson has been running the ball well. The Cowboys have a good defense that like to keep teams to low totals and they like to win with their running game, with RB Elliot, and their Quarterback Prescott who looks dangerous when running the ball. However, the Cowboys passing game has been very inconsistent this year, and I think the Rams will outscore the Cowboys.

Serena Williams says she and Venus were never 'afraid to be black' in tennis, and she wants her own daughter to be confident in her body Yes, Serena because its your braids and you being black that are important to your tennis game. "Serena Williams has said there were not a lot of role models for her to look up to when she first started playing tennis." Yeah and it's clear what she means is there weren't any black tennis players. So what she's saying is she couldn't look up to or respect other greats of the game because they didn't look like her. That is what actual real racism is about kids. I find it funny they say she's regarded as the "most dominant women's tennis player ever" and yet she only holds the record for third best all time world number one rank. How exactly is the third best the most dominant? She's in third place. That's like saying well yeah she didn't win, she didn't even come in second but she's really the spiritual winner of this race. I can't stand her drama queen BS. It's always me, me, me. I'm the greatest and how dare you question me or make me follow rules. It's because I'm black and a woman that you're singling me out. I'll be so glad when she finally retires and the media stops making excuses for her.

I'll be so glad when she finally retires and the media stops making excuses for her. To be fair, she holds the record for most open era Grand Slam wins. The world number one ranking is based on a points system, which rewards players for playing in lots of tournaments. Serena doesn't like to play in many lesser tournaments. Grand Slams are like the Super Bowl of tennis. However, I'm no fan of her by any means, she complains about sexism and racism when she doesn't have her own way, and it's so annoying. When she lost the final of the U.S open, it was to a half-black Japanese woman ,who won her first grand slam. It should have been a special moment for that Japanese woman, but Serena drew all the attention to herself, blaming her loss on sexism, even though she and her coach broke a rule which had been highlighted after male players broke the same rule earlier in the tournament. Many people want to see Federer extend his record for grand slams, or want to see Nadal catch Federer's record for grand slams. It's because they are good role models. And yes, many people want to see Serena's opponents win, not because she is black or a woman, it's because she is a bad sport and arrogant.

4 teams left in the NFL playoffs.
I'll give short explanations as to why the 4 teams left can win it.
Chiefs - Mahomes and a high-powered offense
Saints - Accurate quarterback, good running game and good run D
Rams- High powered offense, good running game, good pass rush
Pats- Brady and Belichick know how to win superbowls.

Some crazy conference championships in the NFL.
The Rams beat the Saints, but the Saints should have won due to a blatant PI that wasn't called, and had it been called, the Saints would have had a first down and would have easily run the clock down.
The Pats beat the Chiefs in a crazy game with 4 touchdowns scored in the final 8 minutes of regulation.
Brady will be looking for his 6th super bowl ring, and it's his 9th super bowl appearance. The Rams have a young quarterback and star running back.
Had the Rams not won relying on getting away with a PI, I would be cheering them in the super bowl. So it means I'll be cheering for the Pats, even though I wasn't thrilled about seeing the Pats in the Super Bowl again.

Tonight in Australia is the final of the women's singles between Osaka and Kvitova.
Williams was eliminated in the semi final after blowing a 5-1 lead in the final set and blowing numerous match points. She and her coach say they're not blaming her ankle injury for the defeat, yet they keep mentioning it over and over.
The men's singles will be between Djokovic and Nadal, which is on tomorrow. Both Djokovic and Nadal are looking very hard to beat, both of them destroying their opponents in the semis. Nadal and Djokovic are 2nd and 3rd on the all time grand slam wins list, so a win for either of them will be important as they try to catch Federer's record of 20 grand slams.

Naomi Osaka is the champion of the Australian open.
I forgot to mention a Chinese lady named Zhang Shuai teamed up with an Australian woman to win the women's doubles final.
It's been a good tournament for Asian ladies.

Congrats Patriots on winning superbowl for the 2018 season.
6th super bowl for the franchise (tied record with Steelers), as well as 6th SB win for Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Whether you like Brady or not, we should appreciate it while it lasts because we will likely never see another quarterback win 6 superbowls. Although, a lot of the credit does go to his defence once again, whom restricted the Rams to just 3 points.
