As I mentioned a week or so ago I started playing Prey (although I haven't managed to play much beyond the first few hours - thanks life for getting in the way ). I found pretty quickly that one thing gets both annoying yet fun and addictive. Collecting random crap and trash to put in the recycler. I find that I'm prowling around an area picking up junk just to double back to this machine to make a bunch of cubes of component parts so I can make a box of bullets or something else. What is our weird fascination with collecting crap in games to use to make other crap? It happened to me in Fallout 4 too. It starts out annoying, but very soon you'll start relishing it. More materials means way more ammo, and once you learn how to make ability points you're off to the races. The difficulty curve is sort of fucked in the game thanks to the crafting.

Okay. Who got AssOrigins? I'm getting me some AssOrigins... but I won't get to play it much til probably 10 days from now!!! I won't be getting it probably until early next year after a price drop. Just WAY too much backlog and not nearly enough time to play what I have already. This. Too much at the moment so I'm gonna wait. But the reviews have been pretty positive, which is good.

Katzenbalger Oh I understand. This is more of an impulse buy spurred by a preorder bonus. Did you get a chance to read my thoughts on Doki Doki?

I can say one look at the trophy list put me off a platinum attempt. Too many replays with too specific playthru criteria for me to attempt. Just leaves me to enjoy the gameplay though.

Read your thoughts on Doki Doki, but I'm really, really hesitant about it because I'm not in the mood for a mindfuck. That shit'll get to me.

I'm happy playing it in an anything-goes way - screw any of those no-upgrade playthroughs.

Admittedly it was a bit of a mindfuck, but I enjoyed the hell out of it. I read theres a way to get a good ending that involves a bit of save scumming and file manipulation. I may go in for it.

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus Calls Out Donald Trump And White Nationalists In New TrailerDid you really need to take the marketing there Bethesda? I mean I assume its Bethesda since MachineGames is a Swedish developer. This game looks phenomenal on its own and doesn't need to resort to this kind of political agenda messaging to get attention. Gaming media has already been bad enough about trying to turn this into a virtue signaling thing as it is because of it being about killing Nazis.

They're just capitalizing; hoping to get a bunch of idiots that normally wouldn't buy it to buy it for their political beliefs.

I've begun playing this game...I purchased it a while back for next to nothing.I still haven't beaten Persona 5,but I need to get into the mood to play it again, and the other options available were World of FF(not in the mood for grinding), CSI Fatal Conspiracy,Senran Kagura Estival,or some SNES games I haven't tried that are on the SNES classic. The Ratchet games are fairly easy to get into, planet Igliak has an atmosphere that I like(looks like something from Mass Effect or Taris in KoToR,and I've read R&C Nexus has an easy plat.

This one was fun. Not as good as A Crack in Time but still the same type of R&C game.

My initial impressions? Very good actually. I haven't gotten to the title credits yet... that apparently happens FIVE HOURS IN but so far they seem to be channeling the open world mechanic quite well; as traveling around as a Medjay is pretty fun. There's also a bit of one of my favorite games in it; Primal. Yep, gotta hunt if you want to upgrade and Bayek uses Senu much in the same was that Takkar uses his owl... Senu can even attack targets, albeit she chooses when and where. There's not much new here, besides gorgeous visuals, but that's okay. AssOrigins breathes life into ancient Egypt in a way that I haven't seen done before and just walking around is fascinating; something that the very first AC managed skillfully with Jerusalem. I am playing on Hard but I haven't died yet, despite several straight up fights and fumbling with all new controls (which I kind of hate) so I'm not sure just how hard Hard really is... I recommend it, if only because anything less would be too easy. All in all Origins does manage to capture my imagination in a way that Syndicate failed to. You can see the blend of several games injected into the AC mold here (even a little Witcher 3 with his mount,) and no sign of any modern day yet despite over 3 hours of play. This isn't a triumph, but it appears they have crafted a truly solid game that is actually fun to play. I look forward to more time with it... when I can get longer than 6 motherfucking hours at home.
