Seems like this gen will be the 're-buying games i already own' generation for me, what with all the re-releases and stuff like that. Part of it is spurred on by some re-releases being really cool or having great extras. But mostly it's because i'm lazy, or i've packed away old consoles or games and have no idea where they are.
Case in point: i got Diablo 3 on Switch on an early black-friday price deal, despite already having Diablo 3 on PC and also D3: Reaper of Souls on PS4. So this is me buying the third version of the same game I already own twice over. Of course i only realise this stuff after I've paid and i'm sitting there with the game thinking 'I've already played this...and i still actually own this..."
But i will say this - Diablo 3 on Switch is freaking great. It's Diablo on handheld - I can play it anywhere. It's great and totally worth it.
Playing the story again though, i'm reminded that they sort of

do dirty by Leah. Like, she's this girl who gets thrust into adventure, meets the mom she's never met, gets involved in the fight against the Prime Evils, and has a character arc. Then, in the end of the third act, her body is used as a vessel for Diablo to be reborn, and she's fucking killed as Diablo rips itself out of her and its implied her soul is either destroyed or sent to the burning hells to be tortured for eternity and nobody gives a fuck? And, like, none of the characters talk about it or even mention it even though they've been with Leah since the beginning of the game? It sort of rubbed me the wrong way, though i guess expecting that sort of narrative from Diablo of all things is probably wrong. It just feels so...brutal?
