Hmm... so much I'm still annoyed about with this. I disagree with nearly every facet of this. No cat eyes, crappy wolf medallion, mysterious black nobility, and just about every single casting decision they made... but damn the locations person nailed it. The sets, costumes, and locations all look great. Still not very interested in a muddling of a property I love.

God I hope that's true. God I hope I played some small role in their dismissal.

They can keep race swapped Triss. I'll just go replay The Witcher 3.

I will never not be able to see this from now on when watching Star Wars. Every time I see Tarkin from the waist up.

This is not really news. I remember reading a long time ago that it wouldn't be from Geralt's POV but that he would be the subject, so to speak. Something, blah, blah, about adding to his mystery. At any rate, I couldn't avoid this harder unless it had Rian Johnson's name on it.

Know who else is in The Mandalorian? The Ageless Asian; Ming Na Wen As one commenter put it "Asian MILFs get me up like a broom handle." Looking forward to seeing her in a new show. Last one she was in that I watched was Agents of SHIELD.

Major SPOILERS for Terminator Dark Fate Why Terminator: Dark Fate Delivered That John Connor Twist, According To Tim Miller Tim Miller: "I'm just not a fan of the Chosen One sort of movie." Also Tim Miller: "I was all for this being some new person that wasn't connected to the Connors and had been chosen by the hand of fate." WTF? Why doesn't he just go ahead and admit that he's just another Rian Johnson and thought the only way to make a Terminator movie in 2019 was to crap all over the original and T2? That he thought this really needed to be a movie full of wokeness and an indictment of US Customs and Border Patrol? I HATE when sequel movies that follow up other films render the outcome of those movies pointless. Other perfect examples: Alien 3, Halloween 5, Star Wars: The Last Jedi...

I've actually been getting really into tokusatsu lately. I've watched Ultraman R/B all the way through from start to finish. Really fun show, and I also enjoyed the epilogue movie where they teamed up with Geed(The previous Ultraman). Now, I'm eight episodes into the current series, Ultraman Taiga, and I'm also watching Zyuranger to finally get into Super Sentai after many years of growing up on Power Rangers(particularly Time Force and Wild Force back in the day).
R/B is the first toku I've finished. It's the last Ultra series of the Heisei era and an interesting take on the formula, focusing on family dynamics and the interactions between the protagonists, brothers Katsumi and Isami Minato, as well as with their father, Ushio, and younger sister, Asahi, as they try to work their way through family dilemmas while also fighting the schemes of the Aizentech organization and unravel a plot that their missing mother, Mio, had become involved in. It's a really light-hearted show that also touches on serious matters in a heartfelt way. Banter between characters is entertaining, and I really enjoyed seeing how everybody acted around each other. Makoto Aizen, the antagonist for the first half of the series, also had a lot of charm with a really endearing, campy personality that really helped to liven up things in the early storylines. When he finally exited the stage, I did actually miss him, but it was still worth seeing things take a more tense, serious direction in the second half. I had watched a few episodes of Max a good while before this came along, but this is the show that has really made me a big fan of Ultraman, and I just really loved every bit of it. The movie also served as a decent enough ending to these characters' story, and did have a good plot going to introduce a new big bad for the franchise, but for some reason, it didn't quite leave the same impact on me that the actual show itself did.
Ultraman Taiga is the current series going right now. It stars Hiroyuki Kudo as he works as part of a special group dedicated to handling secret extraterrestrial-related affairs on Earth and becomes host to a team of three heroic Ultras called the Tri-Squad dedicated to fighting Ultraman Tregear, the new villain introduced in the R/B movie. The Tri-Squad's leader, Taiga, is the son of classic franchise hero Ultraman Taro, and before long, Hiroyuki and Taiga are joined by the muscular Ultraman Titas and the laid-back ninja hero, Ultraman Fuma, with Hiroyuki being able to transform into any of the three Ultras in battle to combat Tregear's monsters. I've been enjoying this show quite a bit. Hiroyuki and the Tri-Squad are wonderful characters, and the dynamic between them really makes you want to see how they foil Tregear's plans in every episode.
Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger is the sixteenth installment of the Super Sentai franchise, as well as the first one to be adapted into Power Rangers. The plot is significantly different from its American counterpart, though. Instead of the '90s America "teenagers-with-attitude" fare, it features a fantastical plot involving mystic warriors being awoken from 170 million years of suspended animation to combat the evil Witch Bandora and her Dora Monsters. The mechas in Zyuranger are actually guardian deities of the tribes each ranger hailed from in the distant past. The Yellow Ranger in Zyuranger is also a guy, so if you were wondering why Trini didn't get a skirt in her ranger form in MMPR while Kimberly did, there's your answer. Zyuranger established several elements that remain a part of modern Sentai shows, including the mecha being comprised entirely of mechanical animals, introducing an additional sixth team member midway through the series, and eventually introducing a seven-piece animal mecha combination combining both the main mecha and the Sixth Ranger's mecha. It's also the first Sentai series to feature a fantasy-themed storyline as opposed to a sci-fi one. It's a very interesting series to see, and the plots and characters have been highly enjoyable. I would definitely rate it higher than MMPR on a personal enjoyment level.
So, yeah. I'm having a good time with this stuff.

I've seen some of the Ultraman movies. Can't remember much about it. I saw the Guyver action movie. Wasn't too impressed, although the manga looks interesting.
