This is exceptionally dangerous, to go into a cave while freediving.
As demonstrated by this memorial plaque that I saw i person at Ginnie Springs
That guy was freediving and decided to go into the cave, which is the largest open water cave in the US. Actual divers found his body near the hole the plaque is in.

Read the sign at the door and the back of your ticket. The team and the arena assume no liability for this type of injury. You assume the risk when you buy the ticket and attend a game. This is also why they tell you to be vigilant and pay attention during the game.
Sucks she's got a knock on her melon, but I don't think she has any right to sue the team for her injuries.
Not so racist that you had a problem taking their money, right A.J.? Not the smartest thing to say, given that he's now been dumped by the Redskins and his new employers, the Giants could decide they don't like him talking trash about the NFL and cut him. Lighten up, Francis.
Everything surrounding the William's sisters is always drama. Every time anything negative happens to them in the sport it gets called discriminatory. They've played the race card, the woman card, and now the baby card. Being highly skilled doesn't exempt you from the rules. When the rules disqualify you it doesn't warrant a creation of exceptions so you do qualify. Sometimes you miss out because of your life choices, including taking months off to have a baby.

She should earn her seeding, by doing well at tournaments, and keeping her ranking high, just like every other player.
She's likely to get a seeding at Wimbledon, which means a player whom has done well at many tournaments and whom has performed well for the past year will miss out on a seed.
I have mixed feelings about this. If it happened in the NFL, at least NFL players get paid big salaries even if they do sustain an injury that will affect them for the rest of their life.
In college football, there's no such payments, especially in Japan, so I do think there's a case for assault since there was an intent to injure a player outside the boundaries of the rules. I think there needs to be a balance though, because gridiron is a contact sport where there will be lots of incidents which could be deemed as assault under the legal definition. I mean, Rugby has brawls all the time where players punch each other, after the game, they shake hands, and have a beer. But , if a player commits an act which can damage another player permanently, such as diving at the legs of a player whom is not expected it(from behind the player),I think legal ramifications can come into it.

Sounds like he has every right to do that. What happened was really just an assault. It didn't happen in the context of the game. It was a coach-directed, late hit performed in either vengeance or with the purpose to take that player out of the game. The coach has resigned voluntarily but that doesn't make this any less of an assault.
Why the fuck are they playing American Football in Japan anyway?

Japan have won the most gold medals for baseball, as well as the most world classics, even though baseball is America's pasttime

WAS. Baseball WAS America's pasttime. Football supplanted it during my childhood and now has reached religious status. God loves Football, that's why all the players thank him for their touchdowns.

Makes sense. Tom Brady wouldn't survive one game of Rugby, getting stomped on, head slammed(with no helmet), forearms dropped onto his face are common. In the NFL, if the opposition player gives him a bit of a late shove after he's passed the ball, he cries to the referees.
