Spoilers for “Fugitives” ahead. Didn't take much of a push for you, eh? But, in reality, you probably played this the 'right' way. I totally missed the house and the shop. Wonder what was in there?

When I played this I went to the shop and the house. This game definitely has some divergent story paths.

Spoilers for “Stormy Night” ahead Back in the shoes of Kara the household assistant android. Todd has passed out on the couch clearly after an evening of drug abuse. I wake him for dinner and proceed to the dining room where I turn on the lights in this bleak miserable shithole he calls a home. I fetch the dinner and take it to the table and then do my duties as a good household assistant and pour drinks, set up napkins. Whilst I perform these duties we learn that Todd has been on drugs for a while now and its partly why Todd’s wife, who is not dead like I initially believed, she just ran off and left him for an accountant (my god why would anyone ever leave such a charming man like him?). I also think about how much of a piece of shit you must be as a mother to abandon your child to a drug pushing less than human parasite like this guy. We also learn he has worked 3 jobs and lost them all to androids and he then goes on to bitch about how ironic it is he has an android servant he relies on now, I am anticipating I am about to have a “car accident” again Suddenly and without provocation he decides his daughter has committed a heinous crime against him, hurls the table and punches her savagely in the face. Alice flees and goes upstairs I make to pursue but Todd tells he to stay there and don’t move. Whilst I stand there locked as my programming commands me to obey and remain stationary I note how he speaks of teaching Alice a lesson. Not if I can fucking well help it. Time to disobey and protect that girl from this drug addict scumbag. I break my programming and go deviant, I do not waste my time with Todd, drug addicts cannot be reasoned with. I rush for the stairs and head straight up. Choice presents itself immediately. Do I go for the gun in his drawer or straight for his daughter Alice? I decide I don’t give a shit about Todd, I need to save that girl, she is all that matters right now, so I ignore the gun and progress straight for Alice’s room. I approach her quickly and she tells me to run. I instead rush and lock the door. I then return to Alice as Todd begins to vent his drug fuelled rage on the door. I open the window immediately and send Alice out then follow her out without hesitation as Todd breaks down the door. He grabs at me and I kick him away and escape. I grab Alice and tell her to hold on as I slide down the drain pipe and rush for the bus. I board with the unfortunate girl and feel relief as I realise Todd has not followed. She seeks comfort by holding my hand and I gladly reciprocate to help keep the girl calm. I will be a wanted woman now but at least no grievous harm came to anyone. Kara’s tale is getting more and more interesting. I have read somewhere that this Todd guy does something absolutely unthinkable, something I won't spoil here. Dude really is a piece of shit if I ever saw one in a video game, and I've known plenty of 'em.

I find a Kara model android’s broken mangled body and she sings in Japanese at me as her thirium finally bleeds away and allows her to die. I find my thirium regulator but the android in possession of it begs me not to kill it, it is afraid and horrified but it does not want to die. I nod and step away, I wont cannibalise a living being. This mission was super hard. I was told stories by my grandfather of the war, of how they pushed piles of the not dead, but nearly dead into pits and holes. How they buried men and women too weak to rebel, alive. Many, many of my own family endured that fate, most I do not even know where their bodies now lie. To be treated as less than human. I have not experienced it personally but I know my family has and I have seen the devastation that leaves behind. This sequence is the closest I have ever come to seeing that. So many tiny gasps and slight shifted hands, microscopic movements that only truly show when done in concert with one another. The junkyard was teeming with horrors. A seething mass of the barely alive, struggling to hold on against impossible odds. The dispossessed waiting to die in essentially a mass grave. And Markus despite the chips against him and like only a select few of my own family, dragged himself from the depths of this living hell into the light. But it doesn’t matter the bright of the light, because the shadows they linger for generations. Think its time to stop playing for a while after that one. I never found the AX400. Dammit... I also didn't find the one who begged for life. I would have killed him for the pump. Everything in that pit was dead. This was probably the precise reason why you intended to avoid this game. If this shook you then you may not ever want to play Dante's Inferno. That GoW clone had some very similar imagery. The actual play I've read several times, even a novel based on a modern journey into Hell. Mayhaps I am desensitized to this particular brand of horror.

One of the core subjects of this game being the second class disposable status and the genocide thing do not sit so well with me. Primarily because it reminds me of how many branches of my family tree Stalin wiped away and how he has pretty much guaranteed that my family line will die with me. Dante’s Inferno looked rather grim but that said I did play Agony and got through that okay. Is it just symbolic like to represent the horrors of hell or is it actually remarking on the mass graves and more genocidal aspects of war itself?

Spoilers for “Time to Decide” ahead.
Returning to Markus’s tale I begin where we left him, surrounded by the fellow deviants of Jericho. They tell me its a safe place and there is no masters here to harm or abuse them. I ask them how many Deviants reside in Jericho, they tell me there is 19 of them. I ask them if this is Jericho or just a gateway to the mythical android safezone, the Daniel replica android whose name is Simon tells me this is it. Markus is not impressed. I decide to be blunt. Jericho is a disappointing hole where androids go to die in fear. Its not won many hearts or well.. um.. processors? but its a cold hard fact that they need to hear.
I get told to see Lucy, their leader of sorts, but I decide to go introduce myself first. I light up the garbage cans around the place and then see a rather decrepit android woman nearby. I approach her and ask if she is doing well she asks me what death is like and I reply that I don’t know, she tells me she will soon know then dies. Ouch Alright theres the fellow I met earlier named Josh. He is over a unresponsive android child. Seems the child’s owners dumped him when his popularity waned and the parts to rebuild him are uncommon.
As I wander towards the other side of the ship I see a bunch of shiny Cyberlife crates, I investigate and find they’re all empty, Markus scans the crates to learn the address of the Cyberlife Warehouse. He commits the address to his memory then I progress to chat to more of the team. I also find a wall smothered in rA9, what the hell even is this rA9?
The next android I encountered is a mess, his diagnostic software is broken so he cannot assess his own damage, he mentions how some humans dragged him behind a car, if only we had the components to repair him.
Lastly I speak to North, i saw her on the computer in “Waiting for Hank” shes a sex-bot who went missing accompanying a client home. I decide asking about her past would be a bad move, I can only imagine the shitty tales the sextoy would have to tell anyway, and besides there is a lot of androids futures at stake, we can socialise later. I ask her about who founded Jericho, she says no one knows, I ask her why so many are wounded here, she says thats what humans do to androids that don’t obey because they despise us, her voice shows the animosity she has for humanity, unsurprising really given her model is the Suck-me-off Sally range. Lastly I ask her how long she has been here, she says 4 weeks then cuts the conversation short.
Time to visit their leader Lucy, I travel behind a curtain and find a really busted to fuck android. This is where things got a little bit beyond belief for me. Markus can regenerate this we know. But yet Lucy needs to cauterise the wound on his side? Shouldn’t it need actual repair before the synth skin regenerates over the wound?
I’m gonna make the assumption that damaged areas of an android cannot regen and the lack of supplies is why they chose to cauterise the wound.
She then makes me drink Thirium likely harvested from one of the corpses in here, lovely. Before I leave she takes Markus’s hand and reads his memory bank detailing how he is troubled, part good, part evil, the dark and the light at war with one another. Could this be a hint of our future chance to strangle Leo with his intestinal tract?
I approach Simon again and tell him we need to take Cyberlife components by force that sitting around waiting to die is idiocy. North, Simon approve of this plan. Josh is hesitant but he is willing to try.
My only quandary through this is why not scavenge the junkyard? Would it not be beneficial to go there and recruit new members/scavenge for parts? My only guess is that we only lucky not to get killed by guards.

The junkyard would be ideal. It's totally unguarded, you could save some other androids, and TONS of parts. In fact, considering how they live in Jericho, why not just MOVE to the junkyard? They'd blend right in.

Spoilers for “Zlatko” ahead
Alice and Kara arrive at the home of Zlatko that the android waste disposal guy mentioned.
I ring the doorbell twice and a big bearded dude answers. I ask him for help he denies it, but I persist and he concurs and lets us in. This place stinks like a rape dungeon. I have no trust at all but this is the only option we have at present so we have to make it work
He leads us into the loungeroom where we meet Michael Clarke Duncan’s android replicant, a monstrous giant of a man. Alice is afraid but Zlatko explains Luthor is his companion, I want to ask why he didn’t name him Lurch but that option is not available.
Time for a small off track tangent moment from Sollie. Zlatko is actually a common slavic name meaning more or less “Gold” why do games companies always make Russians creepy? We are weird and eccentric but we are not creepy, we are very loveable. We need more happy friendly Russians in media.
Now back to the game. We take a seat and old Zlatko asks if I am deviant, I tell him I am an android and Alice is human, he nods seemingly uncaring, then drops the bomb I have a tracker. No shit Sherlock, I have inbuilt GPS, of course I have a fucking tracker. He explains he can remove it to start with and mentions Canada’s lack of AI laws. I remember reading that in the hotel room, Canada is a smart option, at least until Kara’s lack of ageing becomes too obvious. He gestures for me to follow him and reluctantly I do.
In the basement Alice expresses her dismay, I agree with her and say I do not trust him, but we gotta try something. She stops at a room and looks inside alarmed, I comfort her and then take her into the laboratory, Zlatko directs me onto a platform where I am hoisted up and restrained by the arms as a plug inserts into my neck. Zlatko spills the beans, Deviants trackers auto-shutdown it seems. Well I’ll be damned. Zlatko explains that he reboots deviants and sells them on. Seems dangerous since memory leaks would likely happen but it is the blackmarket, you get what you pay for I suppose. He tells Luthor to take Alice or as he calls her “It” somewhere so he can deal with it soon. Luthor complies and Zlatko leaves me to reboot. Not a motherfucking chance in hell am I gonna let myself be mind wiped. I look about and immediately spot a cable in my arms reach, I grab it and pull it hard knocking over some fuel. I search about again and spot a red cart and kick that stupid thing as hard as I am able into a free standing light. Light falls smashes on the fuel and causes a power surge, power is lost for a moment. Reboot stops, I tear myself free. Gotta get to Alice pronto.
On route I stop at the door Alice had been looking in before, I open it and find Zlatko’s experiments, its like the scene from Sids room in Toy Story. Broken busted mismatched monsters. No time to waste though, I run straight upstairs, sneak past Zlatko and Luthors room and enter the room beside it. Inside I find an android bear, I opt to release it then move into a bathroom. Inside an android starts going on about the master and making a lot of noise. I approach and put my hand on his regulator, lot more quiet now. I offer to deal, be quiet and I’ll leave him be, he agrees so I keep my word and leave him be. I head straight out into the hall and holy fuck its Luthor. I suddenly realise he is in a state of shutdown? I sneak past and thank the stars. Into Zlatko’s bedroom I go, I peruse the magazine on the table but I’m not gonna waste too much time, exit into a long firelit room and straight out back into the hall where Luthor just was, Luthor is gone, enter into the final room and the end of the hall and find my beloved Alice. I tell her its gonna be okay then move straight for the getaway.
I grab Alice and dash out into the hall, Zlatko yells for Luthor to fetch the girl, I duck into the room to my left, I take cover under a table as Luthor enters and searches, I quickly dash away as soon as Zlatko yells for Luthor to come. Alice and I slide straight into Zlatko’s bedroom, here I slip into the wardrobe for a few seconds, when I hear nothing I emerge but emerged too soon straight into Zlatko, he grabs at me but I dodge so he rushes for the shotgun. He grabs it and fires as I dodge and push Alice through into the bathroom. Luthor smashes through the glass to grab me, I fight him off and hear the shotgun cocking so immediately dodge again. I rush for the study where I found the bear as Luthor takes a grab at me. Fuck you Luthor, not gonna touch me. Zlatko fires again but Alice and I burst into the study. Luthor pursues, he grabs at us again, no chance buddy. Zlatko fires, I dodge it again. Work on your aim you fat fuck. I kick a table into Luthor then dodge around it, Zlatko rushes me and has us cornered, until the bear emerges and gives him a slap. Zlatko turns his rage on the bear as I run from the room and surge downstairs. As Zlatko finishes the bear off he comes out a little worse for wear but Luthor is hot on our heels as Zlatko fires at us yet again and again. I dodge every shot, not gonna take me out so easy. Front or back door, decisions gotta be quick, I go the back. I shove Alice into the lounge as Zlatko fires at me again. We rush for the backdoor and I throw the lamp down to slow old frankenstein. Straight for the door, I trip, but Luthor is tangled in the lamp. Alice and I emerge outside as Luthor pursues. I yell at her to run, save herself but she refuses. I use myself as a shield as Zlatko emerges but Luthor has had enough, his led is going haywire, seems he has become deviant now too. Luthor disarms Zlatko as the mutilated Androids emerge hungry for revenge and swarm the greasy old fucker. Choke on it you bad Russian arms dealer stereotype.
Luthor throws down the shotgun and explains why he was chasing us. It all makes sense, you have to breakdown that wall to become deviant, to disobey. Kara had to break it to move upstairs. Markus had to break it to fight Leo. Luthor had to break it to take Zlatko’s offence away. He tells us he wants to help us cross the border, that he wants to protect us. Having the android equivalent of Terry Crews onside will be extremely helpful if Connor meets us again. Kara explains that she trusts him and this completes the mission.

That's worse than what happened to me
