I know about this one (and the actual science behind it) and I must admit; it would be interesting to do.

Also seems like you could run afoul of building management who wouldn't take kindly to you overtaxing their elevator. Quite a bit of study involved in this one (Asia, duh) so I suspect most attempts have failed.

I've stayed in hotels in Asia with more than 10 floors, and that don't have many guest staying in them (due to overpricing or competition), so I guess it could work in some hotels. But when westerners talk about experiencing modified versions of Asian supernatural concepts, that gets me skeptical.

Maybe I'm too cynical but when you involve modern tech in a paranormal experiment I get REALLY skeptical. Cell phones? Elevators? Bullshit. Makes it all harder to believe.

Asian ghosts tend to be more confrontational and grotesque, where as western ghosts like to hide and show up in photos, and occasionally knock stuff off tables. It makes me wonder why ghosts behave so differently according to different cultures.

A person has culture therefore a ghost has culture as well.

It makes me wonder why ghosts behave so differently according to different cultures. Well, if we're gonna be straight about it a ghost would be the spirit of a departed person. A person has culture therefore a ghost has culture as well. Many westerners like Asian ghost movies, and western producers have remade many Asian ghost movies,so I think westerners are aware of the concept of a ghost being confrontational and deformed. For arguments sake, lets say ghosts are real, and a westerner dies, that western person always chooses to be like a western ghost, even though they would likely have some idea of how Asian ghosts look and behave. Speaking of culture,Asians tend to be more passive, but Asian ghosts are confrontational and grotesque. Where as westerners have more confrontational mannerisms, but western ghosts tend to be non-confrontational and look like embodiment of light and energy. Unless, the ghost is trying to play upon a person's fear, and I know Asians don't like confrontation, and westerners get scared by creepy, mysterious things.

Funny but true story. My gf and I had adopted a cat from a shelter. He was a skittish thing, he'd been abused, but he was the only animal in the home so he was calming down pretty quick. He'd taken to sitting on the couch behind us while we sat on the floor and used the couch as a backrest while we played video games. One night, we are just happily doing this, and the cat FREAKS. He shoots up to the ceiling and then triangle-jumps to the corner wall before rocket-kittying all the way to the stairs across the room. From the safety of the stair he just GLARED at the spot right behind us. Scared us enough we turned that shit off for the night and went to bed!

Animals seem to be able to have a special affect on humans, such as people have said their dog kept sniffing them and acted sad, and the person was later diagnosed with cancer, and they believe the dog could smell the cancer. Same goes for how there's numerous stories of people waking up from a coma when a dog was brought near them, or the elephants in Thailand we behaving crazily before the tsunami hit.
