Wolfenstein: Youngblood Will Borrow From Dishonored's Open-Ended Structure Why? What's wrong with the linear narrative that they did in the last two games? I particularly don't like them saying "He went on to explain that the non-linear structure the game is now built around made penning a narrative a bit more difficult, which means that story content is on the lower side compared to other Wolfenstein games." Sigh. I know these games are about but that doesn't mean I don't want it to be in the framework of a compelling story. The best modern FPS games are those that are put within a narrative. Look at Bioshock, the latest DOOM reboot, Wolfenstein: The New Order... Let Wolfenstein be Wolfenstein not Dishonored.

I'm excited for it, but the open-world thing does raise an eyebrow. Considering it's meant to be a spin-off of sorts (what with the co-op and budget price) with another mainline title coming down the line, i get that they're wanting to try other things, but i hope they don't pull too far away from what made the others fun.
I will say that i hope the game is more like New Order than the New Colossus. The former at least had stealth as relatively valid, while the latter was sort of miserable to play at times since you'd died in about three bullets and stealth felt ineffectual to the point where a massive firefight always happened regardless of what you tried to do (at least on hard mode).
