Doctor says that I have RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) common causes are typing, pencil writing, & gaming. I have it in my thumb and I'm teaching myself to use my left hand more than dominant right hand. As for gaming I'm trying to learn how to game with my fingers other than my thumb. Thumb work I can do but I have to take lots of breaks. Also be warned that vibrations can aggravate it. I've turned off the vibrations on some games and turned it right down on the Elite Controller for others that need it. The Xbox Elite Controller is great for my RSI condition as I have now reprogrammed buttons away from my thumb. Like on the Witcher I have changed the X button to the trigger for attacking. As I use it the most and it will take work away from the injury. I hope Sony adopt this for a controller as well as my RSI is a permanent injury. I also hope that both companies address this issue as we are ALL vulnerable to it. Feel free to talk about all of the Gaming Injuries here as RSI is only one of them. PlayStation Thumb (Xbox users get it too) involves blisters. There was a case of the two worlds best who got into a marathon session together and died! Their bodies were covered in sores, they were malnourished and their bodies just gave out. This last one of course in rare and cases usually come out of China. A Guide to Gaming Injuries

Sorry about your RSI. I hope Sony can adopt that controller too. I don't know if this will help, but here are some programmable PS4 controllers megamodzplanet.com/store/ps4-modded-controllers/ps4-spongebob-editors-pick I remember when my left arm was mauled by a dog,and I had limited mobility in my left arm, which meant I couldn't play games that put any strain on it,so I played lots of turn-based RPGs,where I could take my time to input commands, and that involved more thinking than skill.

Back in the SNES era Nintendo Thumb was a frequent concern, but due to my Street Fighter addiction I now sport a leathery left thumb that is so tough even minor cuts have a hard time overcoming its Armor Class lol!

Oof, that sucks. Can't say I've ever had a gaming-related injury (hand cramps I guess? but those go away fairly quickly).
And the Xbox Elite controller sounds swell, but it's friggin $200 here and there ain't no way I'm paying that much.
