Still forbidden to use the internet at work. I'm the only one. Gotta love being harassed.
In chapter 6 of Red Dead and I've lost a lot of steam. I dunno if its general burnout or emotional rape at the hands of the story.
CREEPING along in Fist of the North Star. Phenomenal storytelling, as usual, but I', not giving it the attention I should.
I dunno if you recall but when I bought the DLC for BattleTech my save games disappeared. =-( So Riana and her crew... poof. I recreated her, of course, and I'm trying to reassemble my crew. I have Vamp, both Behemoth and Dekkar are dead, and I even found Apex who I hadn't written about yet. Notably I'm still missing Big Sly, and since he's a random drop finding the unique pilot again may be near impossible. The same goes for Death Krusade. Since both figure prominently in my storytelling I'm finding it hard to advance the story without them... so I'm avoiding the story missions. I restarted the game on Easy, which affects which kind of mechs I routinely face; mostly lower tonnage (not less!) In a way that's more realistic as the heavier mechs were rare in this period. But to balance that out I increased the parts needed to make a new mech from 3 to 5. That means I don't have that sweet Jagermech (although I did just get a Hunchback last night!) and I keep a veritable army of shitty Locusts. Right now I'm really just enjoying going around and taking jobs. I tend to hit a planet, search the Hiring Hall, and then do as many missions as I can without locking off a faction before I pick a new destination to continue my search. Hopefully I can find Sly soon. Kru too.
For Honor continues to be a love/hate affair. In the wake of my restrictions, and following the political collapse of my faction (and the corruption of the sub) I stepped away from my role as Warchief and Hersir That means I'm not a sub mod anymore and I don't participate in warplanning. It's kind of a big hole in my social construct (especially after mostly losing you guys.) I know Sol is hurting too. That said though, the game itself is still pretty interesting. The Warlord's new rework makes him crazy fun to play as again, the Shugoki got one too and now he's a BEAST. There a new Edgelord knight called the Black Prior. He's OP as most new heroes are but, I have to admit, he's pretty cool.
I dabble in a few other games here and there. Mostly the occasional SFV, a little of that over complicated Elite, and even a little Yakuza 0. With school this semester, my abusive work situation, and just family life I don't have the time or energy to invest too heavily in varied storylines.
I find myself really wanting to play Primal again.

After Guarma I think the game had difficulty heading into a resolution of the story. Party because of Arthur’s situation. Mostly because this is an outcome we already know since it’s a prequel and they just spent a game making you like and bond with characters you hate and kill in the first game. I’m in the first epilogue myself, just after Chapter 6. Finally getting to explore Blackwater and points west. Sucks about losing your save in Battletech. Stuff like that has made me give up on games before or put them away for a long time. Good on you for trying to rebuild and get back into it. Sucks about For Honor too. Seems like maybe that game has had its time. And weirdly now just as it’s coming free to PS Plus. I also understand the being torn between a bunch of games. I’m juggling only 3-4 at the moment but I’ve got a few calling my name that want me to stop playing PUBG and finish up RDR2 so I can get into my backlog (that only keeps growing).

Street Fighter 5 is fun, but the AI enemies are too easy to beat on normal, and on hard they're brutal, and do long combos like on Killer Instinct. I still need to get around to Yakuza 0,5 and 6, same goes for Fist of the North Star, which has the Yakuza system upgrade to it.

Well, it was SEVEN MONTHS. Almost to the day (19th). For 7 months I lost access to the internet and I sufferered, over the course of 2018, FORTY-FOUR internal investigations! But then something happened; one of our trainers caused his THIRD trainee (for those keeping score that's a 100% fail rate) to quit, citing the fact that he is an asshole. Then, with no hope in sight and tons of OT, a 6 year vet dispatcher quit. She was just sick of the negative health and mental strain that all these 12 hour shift cause. With that in mind it seems the powers that be have backed off of the "make Dal quit" bandwagon. Haven't had an IA in weeks.
But things are not rosy. May will be rough; another of us is going out on paternity leave for the whole month leaving just 5 of us to cover 6 daily shifts! I'm gonna be working 12s 6 days a week.
I just need to survive one more year. Can I make it?

Do you want to make it? Different question with a more complicated answer.

Gonna try out a barber for the first time. The place is called Woods Viking and they specialize in beards. Let's see what they can do for an old Viking... This is the before shot.

Funnily enough I've been growing my hair back out with the idea that I may start going to a barber again. For the last 10 years or so I've been doing it myself at home. Saved a lot of money just buying a set of electric shears. Only down side was I got the same buzz cut every time.
