So I thought I'd make a little spot where I can share with you guys what it's like to work my job.
For example at the moment we are responding to a call from a woman at 3:29 am about a prowler IN her fenced in backyard.
What did you see?
I didn't see anything but I hear them.
What does it sound like?
Like something bumping up against the house!
--police cars screaming towards her from all across the city--
I've got units on the way. Before they arrive do you have any pets that need to be secured?
Yes, I have dogs but they're in the back yard.
Your dogs are in the back yard?
Yes.
Your fenced in back yard?
Yes.
Where you think this prowler is?
No the dogs are up on the deck.
The deck in your fenced in back yard?
Yes.
How many dogs do you have?
Seven.
Seven?
Yes.
You have seven dogs in the back yard, on the deck, which is all fenced in and you believe someone is back there because you heard something bumping up against your house?
Yes.

The classic is the ''I see black people driving past looking at houses''

TidusandYuna1983Ms. Gwen Anthony is a Neighborhood Watch "Captain" and one of my most frequent callers. She doesn't appear to work, has plenty of time to call me nearly every day, and consequently is a strong black female©. Ms. Anthony calls me every time she sees a black person.

Man, it must be a nightmare having to sift through all the nonsense calls in case there's a serious situation.

Can you send an officer out to my house?
What's wrong?
My neighbor's dog is out again and it keeps attacking us!
Has anyone been bit?
No, me and my 9 year old are stuck in the car. It won't let us out!
OK, I've got an officer en route.
--Officer arrives--
Have you called PAWs yet?
Not yet.
Why don't you do that?
--Talking to animal control--
What kind of dog is it?
I'm not sure but it's apparently so scary that neither my officer nor the complainant will get out of the car. Hang on let me ask. 266?
Go ahead.
Can you describe the dog?
It's a small, brown dog.
It was a damn chihuahua.

Kicker in this one is the officer who is afraid to get out of her car for the fear of fucking FOOT CANDY. I mean if you're wearing a pair of boots you are now IMMUNE to this breed.
