This year's decision should shock none of you; I almost didn't play anything else this year and I'll still be playing next year as well. For Honor was a big surprise for me. Here was a game I had minimal interest in. I had heard Multi-player only and there might not be a bigger turn off, but when Ubisoft released a Demo my gaming world experienced a seismic shift. I loved For Honor. I bought the 99 dollar Gold Edition and a 160 dollar controller... just for this game. I still play For Honor daily and while, yes, I get frustrated as shit sometimes by this game it remains the biggest draw for me. I'm not as good as I was in Season 1; they nerfed the hell out of my hero (Warlord) and introduced 4 (out of 6) overpowered DLC characters that a good 75% of the community use and abuse. Still, I love it. For Honor easily won the battle for 2017.

It's battle mechanics look quite good. For some reason, they remind me of Demon/Dark Souls, but with big battles on an epic scale.

This is your current love hate relationship game. But I can see why you like it.
