I just.... ugh. I can't get into her. Did you ever see any of the Swedish 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' movies? They're overlong (and were TV movies) but she's great in them. Though I will admit she's less great in the few English-language movies I've seen her in.

That would be about the only situation where I might find her attractive; if we were in space and there were no other available women.

I did see Ragnarok on the opening night. I laughed all the way through this movie. Great film, fun time. One of my favorite Marvel movies now.

I also appreciate the way it works in terms of the overall Marvel Universe. They took some big chances, and I think Thor is the better for it
For one they essentially reworked Thor to be more likeable and have more of a personality than he had in the last Thor movie, and then proceeded to aggressively cut all of the fat and associated attachments the character had - Odin dies (bye Anthony Hopkins!), they killed off all Thor's friends from the previous adventures, Thor's hammer got completely smashed, he finally became the proper God of Thunder/King of the Asgardians and fucking Asgard blew up. So, essentially, they gouged out all of the baggage Thor was carrying around to the rest of the Marvel movies. And I think Thor's the better for it - he's no longer just 'the guy with the hammer'.

Big spoilers above. So don't click to show if you haven't seen the film yet.

I was planning to go see Thor Ragnarok yesterday but ended up having to spend the afternoon with the inlaws instead. Current plan is to go tomorrow night because my go to theater has $5 Ticket Tuesdays and they're currently running a promotion on $1 hot dogs, $4 popcorn bucket refills and $3 large drinks with unlimited refills. So I can take my family with a bit of candy snuck in for $30 and just make an evening of it.

You know I completely forgot that Kaley Cuoco was on the last season of Charmed as a series regular. She's fine in the role and all. She's basically just proto-Penny with magical powers. But it shows what an impression that final unnecessary season made on me I guess.

I don't know that Alyssa Milano really belongs on the committee.

Gives me a lot of hope for the finish product that they're so concerned with making it a good film worthy of the legacy of the originals and the characters.
