Too many stories now about dishonest media and outrage reporting. This just needs its own section.

How the Covington Catholic firestorm reinforced America's divisions NBC News, pretty much the worst offender in this Covington High School reporting fiasco is doubling down even harder now trying to cover their own ass for their failure to do their due diligence before reporting. They already tried blaming the kids for the situation with failed results. They certainly aren’t going to blame the real culprits for the actions of the day. And they most definitely aren’t going to assume responsibility for their role in the fake news they helped spread. So where do they sink from here? How do they keep this story alive and continue to try and spin it in their favor? Well now it’s America’s fault for the media being dishonest and falsely reporting on the incident because... well you know people have biases and live in their own bubbles and associate with like minded people so... yeah you know it’s not NBCs fault that they are continuing to push a false narrative despite evidence that easily refutes it. Shameless.

'We're getting soft': Kentucky governor says America is weak for closing schools as a deadly arctic deep freeze wreaks havoc with record-breaking low temperatures The outrage business must be slow today. I have to agree that he's largely right. If there aren't ice and snow conditions then why are schools closing? Because it's cold outside? Below freezing isn't a very good reason to close down schools unless there is a problem with the heating at the school. Put a coat on. "We have to remember the safety of EVERY child - not just those who have the means to dress warmly in this type of weather." Pretty weak sauce to point at kids with shit parents who would send them out in the cold without adequate clothing and say what about them as a legit reason to close. Them having shitty parents is another issue entirely. That's the same lame duck reason they use to provide free lunch programs instead of holding shit parents accountable for their shit parenting.

Why our politics can't handle Jussie SmollettHey CNN, my politics didn't have anything to do with it. "We live in a political world -- and in a broader society, because, let's be honest, everything is political now." WRONG. Everything is not political now any more than its ever been. My political ideology does not affect every aspect of my day. I know that's a difficult concept to grasp for a media shill who is determined to make every single thing an us versus them paradigm but politics are not my entire life. They may be for the blue hair, nose ring, rainbow flag, vagina hat, Sharia law, resist crowd but I can manage to go 20 minutes without thinking about Trump or political issues. I didn't not believe Jussie's story because of confirmation bias. I didn't not believe his story because he's black. I didn't not believe his story because he's gay. I didn't not believe his story because he's outspoken against Trump. I didn't believe his story because it was obviously BS. Everything about it set off alarm bells that it was concocted and made up so that it would perfectly trigger the media reaction that it did to rile up the Leftist base because OF COURSE there are bands of angry white Trump supporters roaming the country looking to attack minorities. Now you've just got the media writing pieces like this to try and back off from any blame that's being leveled at them for not reporting responsibly and covering for the bad behavior of politicians on the left end of the spectrum for trying to use this to whip up outrage to gain votes. Hey CNN, it's not a conspiracy theory when its TRUE. Stop defending this creep. Stop defending the politicians who tried to use this story as political leverage. Stop defending your coverage for being irresponsible. Stop trying to say that while the story turned out to be fake its the narrative that's really important. Stop trying to blame Trump because you (the media) and his political detractors will do anything to try and make conservatives look bad. Take your damn licks and start changing your ways. But of course you won't because its easier to just say Orange Man Bad, Like and Subscribe.

The latest greatest bit of national distribution worthy news from the MSM. White woman swears at manager of Mexican restaurant for speaking Spanish in viral video Got to keep that racist Trump supporter narrative alive now that the Jussie Smollett attack has been revealed as a hoax and the press and supporters are back pedaling faster than a lawn chair folding in a hurricane. This story is not relevant news, certainly not outside of the town in West Virginia where it happened. There are loud obnoxious entitled idiots all too willing to air their stupid everywhere every day and it’s certainly not a trait only exhibited by white people or conservatives.

The left’s tax refund freakout exposes their ignorance on taxes THIS. Every time I read one of the BS MSM articles about people getting screwed by the IRS after the tax cuts it makes me realize just how dumb and gullible most people are and how little they understand income taxes. I know I’m at a bit of an advantage here since my background is accounting but this stuff is not hard to understand.

Puzzling number of men tied to Ferguson protests have died This article is so fake news it ridiculous. The reliance on vague langauage and blatant lies surrounding the Michael Brown case and the resultant RIOTS (call them what they were, which wasn’t demonstrations or protests) in Ferguson is sickening. This reads like BLM propaganda. The author is trying to make connections where there is no evidence to support any and this is nothing more than conspiracy theory musing. Just tell it like it is. Six people who lived life in a less than ideal way ended up dying as a result of their life choices and/or mental health issues. Their deaths had nothing to do with them participating in the Ferguson riots.

Got to say this is the first I'm hearing of this. Seems like a perfectly good shoot to me. Try to kill cops get your dumbass shot. End of story. DA: Officers 'legally justified' in killing man outside Cascade Middle SchoolHe's exactly right that the reason we aren't hearing about this from the MSM is that it doesn't fit the narrative. This guy was a member of ANTIFA who had shared custody of his daughter and was trying to enroll her in a school without his ex-wife's knowledge or consent despite court documents indicating that she has sole control over where their child attends school. The officers confronted him and attempted to trespass him from the school grounds. He refused to leave so they proceeded to arrest him. He resisted arrest and then chose to pull a gun and attempt to shoot the officers. Search of his person after the shooting indicated that he had a full magazine in the gun (21 rounds) as well as a fully loaded backup and additional ammo in his backpack. Review of his online activity showed that in the days just prior to the shooting he had been making posts about wanting to kill police officers. Sounds like he came to that school looking to start something and got his wish.

From Fortnite to Alt-Right This "journalist" starts by admitting that the idea that video games are capable of brainwashing vulnerable teenagers and turning them into violent sociopaths is a tired trope and not true. And then proceeds to make exactly this argument about video games being "a vector for spreading the messages of white supremacist ideology that lead to violence." So basically: I'm not saying the problem is video games, but it's video games. "...we know gaming culture is being exploited by white supremacist recruiters." LOL. People like this author just love spreading that message that there are millions of silent Neo-Nazis just hanging in the wings waiting for their chance to take off their MAGA hats and put on their Klan hoods. "Despite the enormous popularity and profitability of the video game industry, gaming culture still operates in the shadows." Really? In the shadows? That's why there are tons of gaming media publications and YouTube channels, pro esports teams, and even big name companies using video game related advertising and promotions to sell products that aren't even related to the game's industry. There's nothing shadow about gamer culture these days. "Most media pay almost no attention to it." That's because the only time the media wants to talk about video games is when they try to pull this "video games cause violence" narrative and it never goes anywhere. The only people who believe that idea are people who don't play video games. "This inattention signals that gaming is a special place, outside the mainstream, that could indeed, with enough outright hostility, be made to “belong” to a particular group." LOLOLOLOLOLOL. Yeah gaming is such a "special place" and "outside the mainstream" these days that those of us that are actual real gamers constantly have to deal with our hobby being co-opted by the mainstream to the point that we feel like the overall quality of games has suffered chasing that mainstream cash. "Megan Condis is an assistant professor of game studies at Texas Tech University and the author of “Gaming Masculinity: Trolls, Fake Geeks, and the Gendered Battle for Online Culture.” Knew it. She's an academic. An assistant professor of "game studies." LOL. Yeah because that's a real degree field. People like this woman are just as toxic as the loud mouthed dude bros and fedora neckbeard types that they're constantly heavy breathing about. Tell us more, oh wise one, about the secret army of Nazis that are using the shadow culture of Fortnite to recruit white nationalists and promote violent behavior. LOL.

Controversy May Exist Over Star Wars Prequel Word at Disneyland Good grief “journalists.” So now our media has graduated from reporting controversies to reporting things that they think might be controversial. Just more clickbait BS. They don’t even bother to source or confirm this shit any more. Now it’s just some guy on Twitter said...

Justice Ginsburg says deep divisions on the way, and Supreme Court watchers look for clues Textbook example of how fake news works. Ginsburg said: “Given the number of most-watched cases still unannounced, I cannot predict that the relatively low sharp divisions ratio will hold.” Big stretch between that statement and saying “deep divisions on the way.” Ginsburg’s comment was a refusal to speculate given the inability to accurately predict future outcome. This “journalists” headline is a statement of definitive fact. One is dishonest. Hint, it’s the headline.
