Assassin's Creed Odyssey Director Says 'We Missed The Mark' With Controversial DLC Relationship Just as kungfubunny9876 pointed out in a previous post Ubisoft is catching shit for staying true to the original story of Assassins Creed and showing that the player character had to have had an offspring in order for their story to be told in the modern day setting. And in typical pandering fashion they’re apologizing to the LGBTQLMNOP morons who thought this was the game for them because they can have same sex relationships. They didn’t give a shit apparently that the developer had to fuck up the games narrative or the in universe lore to make it happen either. Now that Ubisoft are trying to right the ship with the DLC so the game makes sense in established context for the actual fans, the LGBT and their allies are having a tantrum and saying the developer ruined it for them. Well I will agree that the developer fucked up all right. But where they did was back when they decided to pander in the first place and made this installment all about “player agency” (which is really just code for “inclusive” - which is really just code for LGBT friendly - which is really just code for you can do whatever feels good to you despite consequences or context). You can’t tell both a fixed narrative and give the player control over how it plays out. You have to pick one or the other. And you certainly can’t step into a franchise that’s been running for 10 years and then give the player the choice to break the narrative without it making a mess of things.

And you certainly can’t step into a franchise that’s been running for 10 years and then give the player the choice to break the narrative without it making a mess of things. I think Ubisoft brought this on themselves by including the option to have gay/lesbian romances in the first place. The romances, which are totally optional, don't have any emotional resonance or heft whatsoever---the passionate kissing and hugging are laughably staged and forgettably bland. That stuff was shoehorned in. Trust me--I have been playing Odyssey for several months since its release, and I did engage in a lesbian romance (playing Kassandra, I romanced a woman named Odessa) They make out in front of you for several seconds, the screen pans away before fading, and moments later, it is as if nothing ever happened. They don't even show the sex scene at all. I almost laughed at how absurd and pointless that was. The only caveat in doing these romances is that some NPCs whom you try to court will join your ship as a crew member. Ubisoft is righting the course of the game's narrative, tying it into the Assassin's Creed lore more deeply by introducing an offspring of the misthios. Otherwise, the misthios would be some forgettable protagonist. All of the Assassin's Creed games had characters who held ties to both factions---the Assassins and the Templars. The misthios gets together with the son of the first Assassin to wield the hidden blade---the offspring goes on to create a progeny of future Assassins like Ezio, Altair, and even Bayek. So, these social justice idiots who are whining and crying about the DLC have either not played any of the previous Assassin's Creed games, or don't have any shred of understanding about the overall lore. They just want diversity, inclusion, gay and lesbian representation, etc---all the things they normally cry about on Twitter. I am all for inclusion and diversity, but not so when it deliberately promotes an agenda and panders to a specific, entitled demographic.

Looks like Cyberpunk 2077 might get banned in Australia. And SJWs are saying Cyberpunk is homophobic, transphobic and racist. The racism claim is in regards to how it doesn't use enough Asian culture. Humanity is doomed.

I haven't heard of any real uproar over this game, but knowing the sources (i.e. The Guardian, Kotaku, CBR, etc.) once again, they're scraping at the bottom of the Reddit barrel to manufacture another fake outrage just to get clicks. Ignore those idiots. This game will do exceedingly well.

There has been a slew of reports they are homophobic because of a tweet they made a whike back I'll dig it up as for the so called journalists they are just looking for something to bitch at.

Here’s the latest FAKE NEWS straight from “journalists” at big media outlets like the WaPo. Totally manufactured story using edited video and narrative building. They know most people won’t read past the headline and the first paragraph with some heavily edited video and conveniently crafted photos to support the story. The whole picture presented creates a very different story.

Leslie Jones not happy about new Ghostbusters film.Yeah, girl. Cry some more. And more. And more. Accept the fact that YOUR Ghostbusters movie DIDN'T work, and was a miserable piece of SJW garbage. Keep whining. I will happily lick your tears off your ugly ass face.

I know she hates the guy but come on. It wasn't misogyny or the president that made or marketed that awful movie.

The MAGA hat is not a statement of policy. It’s an inflammatory declaration of identity. Yeah media and “progressives” we get it. You hate Donald Trump. But no matter how many times you want to tell everyone the MAGA hat is the new KKK robe it doesn’t make it true. This is the Confederate flag debacle all over again. They’ve got their mind made up that it’s a symbol of hate and they don’t care to hear otherwise. It’s a perfect micro example of how the narrative they’ve built is more important than reality. Feelings are all that matter. Facts are irrelevant. And of course this is just more dodge to continue to attempt to justify the media’s railroading of those high school kids last weekend.

THERE AREN'T AS MANY GAY PEOPLE AS YOU THINK Someone please tell this to the media, writers, developers, producers, and entertainment networks. The LGBT alphabet soup are the most over represented group in western society today. They make up at best somewhere between 3-5% of people in western countries yet get more coverage in games, books, TV and movies, and news reports than any other group. They have a disproportionate amount of lawsuits and political initiatives given their actual demographics. Yet we should all be able to reasonably agree that they are (although VERY vocal) the most extreme of minority groups within our society. But I love how the author attempts to assert by the end that this is somehow all still conservatives fault. "Does this mean that, if Americans—and members of the religious right in particular—were better informed on the actual size of the gay population, they may feel less threatened, and be more supportive of public policies aimed at ensuring equal rights? It's certainly possible. There is some evidence that giving conservatives factual information about climate change can shift attitudes on that topic." LOL. Gotta throw in a climate change dig too. LOL. I don't feel "threatened" by these people. I do, however, feel threatened by a system that seems Hell bent on giving them rights that infringe upon mine under the guise of "equality." You can't push an agenda that would love to criminalize me refusal to acknowledge a man as ma'am and act as though I am the one being unreasonable. You can't try and force people to provide you goods or services that violate their rights simply because you want something. Either the Constitution means something or it doesn't. You can't take away my First Amendment right to free speech and expression because it would hurt your feelings. You can't force me to be complicit in someone's self lie under penalty of punitive punishment from my employer or the government. I don't believe that we should allow anyone to be bullied, harassed, threatened, or assaulted. I don't believe we should allow anyone to be doxxed, fired, censured, or held to someone else's own codes of personal beliefs, ethics or morality. But by extension I don't believe you should be able to force your behaviors onto me because you are a marginalized group within the society in which you live. Sorry that your interests, beliefs and behaviors don't align with the majority of the population. That is your problem to sort out, not a societal issue.

Sorry that your interests, beliefs and behaviors don't align with the majority of the population. That is your problem to sort out, not a societal issue. One thing I've noticed is gay people in Thailand are more easy going than gays in the west. I dunno why, maybe it's because of the same reasons feminism and SJWs are more prevalent and confrontational in the west, than in Asia. Gay people in Thailand are often friendly, and they don't try to make everything an ''us VS them'' type of thing. Gay people in the west are often condescending, childish, and want special treatment. Nobody should be bullied, yet it should work both ways. We got bullied on the previous site we used by a gay arab, but since he represents 2 minorities, we , the straight white males (I'm half white if that counts) were made to look like cold and privileged people attacking a ''defenseless minority person''. Same goes for how I constantly get bullied by a black woman at work in Australia, and nobody will dare tell her how to back off, because they're scared she will use the race card and sue people. If a black person started harassing and racially abusing non-blacks in Thailand, they'd be called a black dog, and if they did this at work, they'd get fired. Asian countries don't put up with this BS.
